PROFESSOR TEBELLO NYOKONG

Professor Nyokong is a Professor of Medicinal Chemistry and Nanotechnology at Rhodes University, with a large laboratory and international research projects in nanotechnology and photo-dynamic therapy. She came from a poor background, growing up in the mountains of Lesotho, then later went on to study chemistry in and earn advanced degrees from Canada and the United States. Professor Nyokong has received many national and international honors during her career, including from Loreal, UNESCO, and the National Research Foundation.
